Meet Dr. Ward, Your Louisville, KY Dentist

Doctor Laura Ward is a Louisville native. She loves her hometown so much that she decided to stick around for her undergraduate and postgraduate studies! In 2005, she received a degree in biology from the University of Louisville. She went on to obtain her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the same school in 2009.

Dr. Ward is passionate about dentistry. She’s a lifelong learner who keeps up with the latest advancements in dentistry by attending more than the required amount of continuing education courses each year. She prides herself on being one of the best family dentists in Middletown, KY.

She is certified in oral sedation, Six Month Smiles^® accelerated braces, and Invisalign^® clear aligner teeth-straightening therapy. She prides herself in her ability to provide a rare level of comfort, quality, and convenience that her patients find refreshing!

When she’s not in the office taking extraordinary care of her family of patients, you’ll find her spending time with her three children: Anna, Gabe, and Jackson. She enjoys spending quality time with them, attending sporting events, and going to concerts. Dr. Ward also enjoys crafts, reading, and taking on DIY home projects.

Marissa Kendall, Insurance Coordinator

Marissa has been the Middletown Commons Family Dental Insurance Coordinator since August of 2017. She graduated from the University of Louisville, but is an avid U of K fan. She enjoys keeping up with her current patients and getting to know the new ones. When you interact with Marissa, you’ll always be greeted by a smile on her face. In her personal life, she’s a newlywed and a proud dog mom of two Golden-Doodles, Macy and Lucy.

Kristin Atkins, Dental Assistant

Kristin graduated from MedQuest College in 2018 with her EDDA certificate. Afterwards, she completed a course in coronal polishing from U of L. Kristin enjoys improving the oral health of her patients and finds the dental field extremely rewarding. She has one cat—Ollie— and when she’s not in the office, she enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Jennifer Nale, Office Manager

Serving as our Office Manager since July of 2015, Jennifer has made a significant impact on our practice. She loves helping patients and relieving them of the hassles of insurance. She is a huge fan of the University of Kentucky and regularly keeps up with their sporting events. In her free time, she loves watching her 8-year-old—Addyson—play softball.

Kylie Willis, Hygienist

Kylie is one of our talented dental hygienists. She graduated in 2012 with an associates degree in dental hygiene. She thoroughly enjoys working with the staff and patients at Middletown Commons Family Dental. When she’s not tending to patients, she loves spending time with her husband, Zane, and son, Maddon. Some of her favorite hobbies include attending Dave Matthews Band concerts and Notre Dame football games.

Phoebe Bartlett, Expanded Duties Dental Assistant

Phoebe Bartlett has been an EDDA for the last seven years. She enjoys interacting with her patients and making them comfortable in a dental environment. It’s her mission to kick patients’ fear of the dentist out the door. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her fiancé and stepdaughter. They are currently planning their upcoming wedding in Fall of 2019. She loves resting on her days off and is busy planning her next vacation out of the country!

Connie Wright, Expanded Duties Dental Assistant

Connie completed the ATA College Dental Assisting program as well as the coronal polishing course at UofL. She has been an EDDA for 6 years and prides herself on being a patient advocate. At home, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and making memories with her 4 children and 2 grandchildren.
